Social Innovators Hub (SIH) is a co-creation incubation program that connects Japan & developing countries to guide the 'next generation of social innovators' through businesses that aim to solve social problems in their respective countries.
The organizer, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), is currently inviting participants from Japan & partner countries to take part in the program.
PROGRAM THEME
This program will be based at Tohoku University and will focus on environmental issues (circular economy, carbon neutrality, nature positivity), as well as the disaster prevention sector. Participants from partner countries and Japan who are interested in social issues in this area and willing to take action to solve them will work together to create joint solution ideas. With the collaboration of Japanese universities, research institutions, companies, and social entrepreneurs, participants will deepen their understanding of social issues and then consider what approaches are appropriate. SIH will provide a venue to match participants with technology owned by Japan's leading universities and companies to solve problems in partner countries by leveraging advanced Japanese technology and problem-solving capabilities. Through this program, we anticipate evolutionary solutions to common problems in Japan and among participating countries.

– Provided: Travel costs (air tickets, insurance, accommodation costs, course fees)
– Covered by participants: items not included above (passport, PC, fares to airports in each country, etc.)
