ANNOUNCEMENT OF RECRUITMENT OF BUSINESS INCUBATION AND ACCELERATION MANAGERS – DKST ITB

In order to support the implementation of innovation and technology-based startup incubation and acceleration programs, the Directorate of Science and Technology Areas (DKST) Bandung Institute of Technology opens opportunities for individuals who are competent, professional and have an interest in developing innovation-based entrepreneurship to join as Business Incubation and Acceleration Managers

Duties and responsibilities

1. Manage the implementation of innovation and technology-based startup incubation and acceleration programs.
2. Provide assistance, monitoring and evaluation of tenant/startup developments.
3. Prepare program documents, including Terms of Reference (KAK/TOR), Cost Budget Plan (RAB), activity reports, and program performance reports.
4. Coordinate mentoring, coaching, business matching, pitching sessions and investor meetings.
5. Develop networks and partnerships with mentors, investors, industry, government, academics and related stakeholders.
6. Manage administration, tenant database, as well as program monitoring and evaluation systems.
7. Supporting the implementation of entrepreneurial development activities, downstreaming of research results, and commercialization of innovation.
8. Prepare regular reports on program achievements and performance indicators.

General Qualifications

1. Indonesian citizen (WNI).
2. Minimum education is Bachelor (S1), preferably Masters (S2), from the field:

• Management
• Entrepreneurship
• Business Administration
• Economy
• Technique
• Industrial Technology
• or other relevant fields.

1. Have a minimum GPA of 3.25 (4.00 scale).
2. Have a minimum of 1 (one) year work experience in the field:

• Startup incubation and acceleration;
• Business development;
• Management of innovation programs;
• Business consulting; or
• MSME/startup assistance.

1. Able to work independently or in a team.
2. Have integrity, work ethics and high responsibility.
3. Have good interpersonal communication skills.

Technical Qualifications

1. Understand the concepts of business incubation, startup acceleration, and innovation-based entrepreneurial development.
2. Understand startup business models and business development methodologies such as:

• Business Model Canvas (BMC);
• Lean Startups;
• Customer Discovery;
• Product-Market Fit.

1. Able to carry out assessments and evaluations of startup development.
2. Able to prepare program documents, activity reports and tenant progress reports systematically.
3. Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is an added value if you have design skills.
4. Have presentation skills, facilitate discussions, and prepare presentation materials.
5. Understand the basics of project management and program management.

Preferred Competencies

1. Understand the process of downstreaming research and innovation results.
2. Understanding technology-based startup development.
3. Understand startup and innovation funding schemes, including grants, angel investors, venture capital, and corporate innovation.
4. Understand aspects of business legality, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), and technology transfer.
5. Have experience in organizing bootcamps, mentoring, demo days, pitching, or business matching.
6. Have a network with the startup community, investors, mentors and industry.

Value-added

1. Have related certifications:

• Business Incubator;
• Business Coaching;
• Project Management;
• Innovation Management;
• or other relevant professional certification.

1. Have experience in managing grants or government programs.
2. Able to communicate in English actively, verbally and in writing.
3. Have the ability to analyze data and prepare program monitoring dashboards.
4. Accustomed to working based on targets, performance indicators (KPI) and deadlines.
5. Have skills related to marketing and program promotion.
