BROTHER,dhkt.itb.ac.id-The Indonesian Carbon Nusantaran, a green technology-based pioneering company called Dilibriation Directorate and Commercial Technology Productions (DHKT), successfully achieved a degreeRegionals Champion Startup World Cup Indonesia 2026in the eventGlobal Investment Gateway - Road to Startup World Cup 2026that took place in Jakarta, Tuesday. The competition hosted by the Micro, Minor Business Ministry (UMKM) of Indonesia (UMKM), along with Pegasus Tech Ventures delivered Algatek as a representative of Indonesia to the global competitionStartup World Cup 2026in San Francisco, United States.
Algatek won the title after going through the business presentation process (pitching) and judging the grand jury along with nine other national finalists. This competition brings together a stalemate company from various tech sectors, from health, logistics, agriculture and food, climate technology, the circular economy, to digital services. That success shows the potential Indonesian corporate nuggets to compete on an international level.
Algatek is one of the DHKT ITB's most important sports companies for the Incubation and Acceleration ProgramStartup PRIMESTeP 2025and resume acceleration activities in 2026. This program supports the development of technology-based stipend companies and prompts innovation readiness into the commercial stage.
Moving in climate technology field (climate technology), Algatek developed a solution of arrest and carbon utilization (Carbon Capture and Utilization/ CCU) microalga-based. This technology utilizes microalgae's ability to absorb carbon dioxide to help reduce emissions as it produces a biomass that is potentially treated into a more valuable product.
The success of this competition opened up an opportunity for Algatek to introduce his innovation to investors and the people behind the global industry. ThroughStartup World Cup 2026it's scheduled to take place in November 2026, Algatek will compete with regional winners from various countries and have the opportunity to expand business networks and become strategic cooperation on the international level.
