Band, dhkt.itb.ac.id - Institute of Blung (ITB) through the Directorate of Hilirization and Commercialization Technology Products (DHKT) acts as host and strategic facilitator in service of Hydrogen Day 2026. Teaming up with Indonesia Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Energy (IFHE) and Mineral Energy Ministry and Resources (ESSM), this event called "Driving the Future with Hydrogen" is held at the East DitB Hall of Ganesh College, Sunday (11 / 10 / 2026).
Through the facilitation of this activity, DHKT ITB confirms its role as the main mover in bridging collaboration between government, academic and industry to accelerate clean energy adoption in Indonesia.

Carrying the concept of traveling from the lab to real implementation, the series of events lasted for two full days. Starting with a convoy of hydrogen vehicles from Jakarta to Bandung on Saturday (10 / 10 / 2026), the activities peaked on ITB with various agendas. Visitors can directly explore this innovation through exhibits of vehicles, driving trials, discussion forums, to the morning fitness activities with the community.
Present to you the primary exposure, Vice Minister of High Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Stella Christie, Ph.D., highlighted the enormous prospect of natural hydrogen in the Fatherland. The discovery of indications of this resource in the Fire Cape, Central Sulawesi, is judged to place the position of Indonesia as a key player in global space.

"This energy source offers a rare advantage, which is eco-friendly and cost efficient. Given the new global trend at the groping stage, this is the golden momentum for our nation to lead at the forefront of world energy development, "reveal Prof. Stella.
In order to realize that vision, he emphasized the need to build an ecosystem that rests on three major aspects: college research, assurance of government regulations, as well as sustainable funding support.
Way to go with it, plt. The vice-president of the Academy Field and the Acquisition of ITB, Professor. Dr. Edwan Kardena, Ph.D., states that ITB is ready to supply needed innovation. The acceleration of technology's absolute mastery is necessary for the country not to just be a consumer, but to create solutions to the energy crisis.
"The mastery of future technology demands cooperation from all parties involved. The government sets its regulatory corridors, colleges and research agencies supplying its innovations, while industry acts as the main driving wheel in the real market, "clearly Prof. Edwan.
This national venture is attended by important figures in the energy sector, among which are Director General of New Energy, Unfolding Energy, and Conservation of the ESDM Ministry, Prof. Dr. Eng. Eniya Goddess Liniani, B.Eng., M.Eng., IPU., and the Head of the Energy Research and Manufacturing Organization of National Research and Innovation (BRIN), Cuk Supriyadi Ali Nandar.
Through the success of the 2026 Hydrogen Day Facility, DHKT ITB hopes hydrogen technology soon surpasses the academic research stage and begins to be implemented commercial. This inclusive energy ecosystem was targeted capable of strengthening national energy independence towards emissions-free targets in 2060.
