This achievement is in line with DKST ITB's commitment to become integrated innovation development center which facilitates collaboration between researchers, students and industry players. External funding support like this is an important accelerator in efforts to encourage the use of research results to create relevant solutions to societal and industrial challenges.

The Priority Research Downstream Program itself is a strategic government initiative to bridge research results in universities with industry needs. This program is designed to encourage research with a high Technology Readiness Level (level 6-9) through matching funding mechanism (matching funds), which strengthens collaboration between universities and the Business World of Industry (DUDI).

The main objectives of this program include:

  1. Encourage mutually beneficial and sustainable cooperation between universities and partners.
  2. Accelerate the utilization of research and innovation results in the form of social or commercial innovation products.
  3. Increasing the competitiveness of national innovation through an impactful downstream approach.

With this funding, DKST ITB hopes that the researchers' superior research results can immediately pass through the incubation and business acceleration phases, providing a wider positive impact on Indonesian society and industry.
