Blung, lth.itb.ac.id- Based on the fourth update of the ITB Rectory Rule no. 624A / IT1.A / PER / 2022 about the Organizational Structure and Task Pokok and Function Unit, Bureau, Bureau, Office, Directorate, School of Peninsula, Institute, and Uniform Institute in the Environment Institute. With its publication of ITB Rector Rule no. 25 / IT1.A / PER / 2024, the Uniform Institute of Technology (ITB) announces a change in nomenclature of Innovation and Technology Development Institute. This change is expected to improve the role of institutions in the development of innovation and science in Indonesia.
These changes were made as part of an ITB effort to strengthen the capacity and capabilities of managing the science and technology areas. Directorate Science and Technology will have a greater responsibility in developing an ecosystem of innovation integrated with the industrial world and academic research.
Directorate Science and Technology will focus on management and development of various programs and initiatives that support innovation, such as innovative research management, application of technology, entrepreneurship development and incubation of business, technology transfers, acceleration and development of scientific and technology business. In addition, this directorate will also be responsible in managing facilities and infrastructure that support the activities of research and technological development.
With this change, the Science and Technology Directorate is expected to be a driving motor in creating solid and sustainable innovation ecosystem on ITB and impacting Indonesia in general.
