Bandung, DKST ITB – Located at the DKST ITB Office, ITB and PT Coway Internasional Indonesia continue their collaboration through Coway's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program by holding the event "Celebrating Innovation and Collaboration of Coway Indonesia and DKST Bandung Institute of Technology: Coway Future Water Innovation Scholarship” on Friday, August 23, 2024. This event is a follow-up to the Cooperation Agreement Relating to the Establishment of Water Quality Analysis Center in Indonesia which was signed on May 12 2023.
Coway, a leading company in the field of home and environmental equipment, has innovated in creating superior products which are now being developed in Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and various other countries globally. Through this CSR program, Coway shows its commitment to supporting the world of education, especially in Indonesia, by providing financial support in the form of scholarships to outstanding students.
This event was attended by a number of important figures from Coway Indonesia and ITB who contributed to the smooth running of this collaboration program. From Coway Indonesia, Mr. Tony Cho as President Director of Coway Indonesia. Also present were Rahadian Isnoor (Chief of Service Division PT Coway International Indonesia), Mr. Sam (Head of Customer Service Division), Mharsally (Chief of Marketing Department), Ayu Lestari (Marketing Manager), Ms. Jane (Coway Water Quality Laboratory Manager) along with other staff.
From ITB, this event was attended by the Director of KST, Ir. R. Sugeng Joko Sarwono, M.T., Ph.D accompanied by Assistant Director for Technology Transfer, Acceleration and Regional Business Development, Rofiq Iqbal, S. T, M. Eng, Ph. D. Representing the Director of ITB Jatinangor Campus, also present, Dr. Dian Rosleine, S.Sc., M.Sc. as sub-director of Student Affairs, Academic, and Public Relations. Without exception, this event was also attended by three students who received the Future Water Innovator Scholarship, namely, Alifia Indrasari Boemara, ?Putri Rachel Anaya Pasaribu, ?Faiz Syawel Avenzuhr.
This collaboration started with the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering (FTSL) which was then continued by DKST ITB, which is responsible for managing research, innovation and entrepreneurship at ITB. Through this CSR program, Coway provides scholarships of IDR 75,000,000 to three final year FTSL ITB students. Scholarships known by the name “Future Water Innovator Scholarship” This aims to support and encourage outstanding students in creating the best innovations, especially in the field of water quality and environmental management. Apart from that, Coway also donated water units and water purifiers to support the provision of clean water and drinking water at the ITB Public Lecture Building, Jatinangor Campus.
It is hoped that this program will have a positive impact in encouraging the birth of the best innovators from ITB, who will later contribute significantly to the progress and development of innovation in Indonesia, especially in the environmental and water quality sectors. Coway is committed to continuing to support education and human resource development that focuses on sustainability and global innovation.
