Bertur, dkst.itb.ac.id - Directorate Science and Technology (DKST) ITB received an appeal study from the University School of Cultural Yogyakarta (FT UMY) on Tuesday (20 / 1 / 2026).

It's located in the 12th floor of ITB Innovation Park Bandung Technopolis, this visit is intended to do benchmarching regarding the management of Science Techno Park (STP), starting from services, facilities, to strategic partnership schemes.

A nine-man UMY troupe led by Vice-Director of Resources UMY, Prof. Dr. Dyah Mutiarin, S.IP., M.Si., as well as Dean of the UMY Engineering, Ir. Aris Widyo Nugroho, S.T., M.T., Ph.D.
The presence of the delegation is greeted by the Section Chief of the Service and Consultation DKST ITB, Ypash Mulyati, S.Pd., M.M., and staff ranks. In his speech, the Yrab outlined the ITB Innovation Park Bdub Technopolis which is a collaborative hub between researchers, startup and industries with three major pillars of service: Business Development, Business Incubation and Acceleration, as well as Technology Transfer.

The questioning session is interactive by focusing on the mechanism of innovation selection and production limits. Responding to questions about the flow of innovation, Yzh Mulyati explains that the DKST focuses on innovation with the level of technological readiness (TTT / TRL) 7 to 9.

"For TRL 1 to 6, the management is under Directorate Research and Innovation. The DKST takes an acceleration role when innovation enters the TRL 6 stage to the top so that there is no overlap and the handler is more focused, "clearly Yzah.
Linked to production, explained that the lab in ITB Innovation Park is focused on Research and Development (R & D). For mass production, the DKST encouraged collaboration with industrial partners, such as EBM Scirech production done in the Gedebage region, not in the primary research lab.

Noted, the D.KST has a target building approximately 20 startup a year divided in two batches, with a maximum tenure of 1.5 years.

The visiting agenda is closed with a tour of facilities to a number of strategic labs in Building 1, among other NCSTT Laboratories, CCIC (Level 9), EBM Scitech (8th floor), and ICDEC (7th), and look at the Dormitory residential facility on the 13th floor.
This visit is expected to open the opportunity for research collaboration and startup between ITB and UMY in the future.
