Bandung, dkst.itb.ac.id – Four Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) students were selected to take part NUS Enterprise Summer Program 2025 which is taking place in Singapore from 7 July to 18 July 2025. This program is organized by NUS Enterprise, the innovation and entrepreneurship unit of the National University of Singapore (NUS), and involves participants from various countries to explore the startup and innovation ecosystem in Southeast Asia.
The NUS Enterprise Summer Program is known as an international education initiative that offers cross-cultural learning experiences with a collaborative approach. Over the course of two weeks, program participants will be invited to understand the dynamics of entrepreneurship in Singapore and the surrounding region, through a combination of academic sessions, field visits, dialogue with industry players, and multinational team-based projects. The big theme this year continues to refer to efforts to build innovative solutions to real challenges in society and the business world.
Four ITB students who took part in this program were selected through a collaborative scholarship scheme between ITB and NUS. Two of them received funding support from ITB, while the other two were fully sponsored by NUS. Three of the four selected students came from SBM ITB while the other one came from FTMD ITB. The selected students include M. Fiqri Al Farisi (FTMD), Khansa Nabila Dara (SBM), Dimitrij Zenndyono (SBM), and Givi Catrine Anastasya (SBM).
Through this program, students are expected to be directly involved in Singapore's entrepreneurial ecosystem, which is known as one of the leading innovation centers in Asia. Programs cover topics such as digital technology, startup strategy, sustainability, industrial transformation, and regional market development. Apart from that, participants are also scheduled to interact with local startups, incubators, investors and NUS alumni who have experience in setting up technology-based businesses.
Student involvement in this activity is part of strengthening the ability to think across disciplines, global communication, and understanding of real practices in the world of innovation and entrepreneurship. This program is also part of ITB's strategy to expand international opportunities for students, particularly through non-degree pathways that provide direct exposure to the global context.
NUS Enterprise on its official website explains that this program aims to equip students with a practical understanding of how entrepreneurial ideas are developed, tested and implemented in a dynamic market environment. In addition, the program is also designed to build cross-cultural collaboration and encourage the exchange of perspectives in an intensive yet open learning environment.
During the program, ITB participants will join students from various universities in Asia, Europe and other regions. They will be involved in various project-based activities that require teamwork, presentation of ideas, and the ability to solve problems in a limited time. Even though it is not formal academic in nature, the experience and network formed is expected to contribute to the career development and leadership capacity of participants. After the program ends, participants are also expected to be able to share their experiences and knowledge with the campus community through internal forums or other student activities.
