From Prototype to Production: Innovation Symposium at ITB Innovation Park

Blung,dkst.itb.ac.id- On Tuesday (22 / 4), ITB Innovation Park is hosting a symposium"From Prototype to Production", a forum that talks about transition dynamics from the prototype to a product ready to be mass-produced and commercial. This event was organized by the PAU Syndicate working with the Science and Technology Directorate (DKST) ITB, by presenting a number of experienced practitioners who have been directly involved in the development of technological innovation in the industrial sector.

In a shared session of experience, speakers emphasize the importance of understanding of real challenges in the field, which often do not correspond to the ideal narratives that thrive in the startup ecosystem. "It took a lot of luck to succeed in the industry," said the Bontono, while underlining the importance of decision-making and a simple but efficient approach to business execution. He put his experience at the beginning, "Doing simple using spreadsheet," explains how he did daily data analysis manually to understand the patterns and market needs before using a more complex digital system.

Discussions then evolved to systemic approaches in innovation - starting with the process of identification of need, utilization of data and science, to the execution of social context and based on empathy towards users in particular societies. The interesting thing about this show is not just technical insight, but also the attitude and passion that is transmitted in sociobased business development.

This event takes place all day and ends with informal networking sessions and mini-exhibits featuring various products of PAU Syndicate and its partners. Lunch sessions became an extra discussion room where participants experienced technical challenges and cross-sector collaborative strategies.

It's become a reminder that innovation is not only about great ideas, but about courage to start, consistency in execution, and the ability to learn from the process. In that context, the PAU Syndicate is present as a collective learning ecosystem, a place where ideas are tested through practice and prepared to contribute real contributions to society.
