Bingung, August 22, 2024- ITB CEO Summit, an annual event initiated by the Directorate of the Science and Technology Area (DKST) ITB, is back in attendance after being delayed due to the pandemic. The event previously known as the agenda (Development Institute of Innovation and entrepreneurship (LPIC) ITB not only presents the seminar, discussion, and innovation exhibition, but also marks the important transformation of LKST ITB.
ITB CEO Summit 2024 aims to strengthen the business network between industrial leaders and researchers and startup, creates a cross-sectoral collaboration, and opens a mutually beneficial partnership opportunity. With the theme "Local Technology Innovation, Global Impacts: Together to Golden Indonesia, "this event became an important platform for researchers and startup to show the results of their innovative research and products to business leaders, open up investment opportunities in innovative projects, as well as sharing knowledge and experience between academic and industrial practitioners.
The event is opened by the ITB Rector, Prof. Reini Hope at home. "ITB is always trying to encourage superior scientific culture, which is a major foundation for ITB development. All this was based on intense love. According to data from DICTI, ITB is recorded to have independence in its operational income, which shows its power of ITB networks with industrial partners. Inner Discussions and Collaboration
ITB CEO Summit 2024 presents various discussion sessions involving survivors of the survival interest in the ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship. One highlight is two major seminar themes "Innovation Strategy Through College and Industrial Collaboration" as well as "Innovation Management and Coalition." Besides, there's a discussion panel divided in five clusters: health, technology and water provision, engineering transportation and energy, information technology, communication and manufacturing, as well as defense and security. These discussions bridge college and industry together to develop collaboration strategies and innovation utilization.
Focus on entrepreneurship and innovation
The event also raised the entrepreneurial-related topics through the Incubator Meeting sessions, Startup Talk, and Investors Talk. Incubator Meeting facilitates the interaction of business manager and science technology from all over Indonesia, while Startup Talk and Investor Talk presents industry, startup entrepreneurs, and investors who share the experience and strategy to encourage local startup growth.
The innovative products of research from the researchers and the ITB startup also get special spotlight through exhibition and elevator pitch sessions. In addition, participants can utilize the Transtech Corner service, which is a one-roof service for the registration of intellectual property (MAN) that provides a direct list facility for ITB academic sciences.
LPIC Transformation Becoming DKST ITB
The show is closed with a wrapping-up session guided by the Vice-Director of the Research and Innovation ITB, Prof. I Gede Wenten, M.Sc., Ph.D. ITB CEO Summit 2024 became an important moment that marked the beginning of a new journey for the DKST ITB. As the institution that will hold the key role in connecting the academic world with the industry, the DKST ITB will also manage the infrastructure facility at ITB Innovation Park, both on Ganesha Street and on ITB Innovation Park Teknowpolis. The DKST ITB will focus on developing innovation, supporting startup, and bridging the gap between academic research and industrial needs.
ITB CEO Summit 2024 is expected to inspire and bring new hope to researchers, startup, and society. Through this event, a more closely intertwined relationship between academia and industry, and collaboration that supports innovation growth in Indonesia.
