This case study includes Oviotrap - a IOT solution for monitoring Aegympti mosquitoes, which developed ITB researchers, Solar Microgrids - research of ITB-Cambridge's collaborative research, which focuses on solar microgrid efficiency, as well as LiFETIME - from Cambridge, which developed battery medical test technologies for battery vehicles to re-engineer power vehicles. These three products became objects of intensive market research that would eventually strengthen the student's ability to identify and evaluate the potential of technology applications in the market.

For eight weeks, the participants will be taking classes and workshops every week guided by experts from Cambridge and Indonesia. Involved guest speaker including Amy Weatherup, Director of the Cambridge-Teams Program; Ben Moore, Officer Program, Centre for Global Equality; as well as Lara Allen, CEO of the Centre for Global Equality. Moreover, students will also get guidance from professional mentors like Gerry Priambogo, CFO PT Independent Diagnostics; Nazmi Fathnur Ahmad, CEO of Bigg Fellas; and Agulustapayu, CEO of Botanina, who will help them devise a comprehensive research strategy.

At the initial meeting, participants will be invited to study the basic market research and communication skills of collecting and analyzingfeedbackfrom industry experts. The sequence of these activities is designed to consolidate the participants with a fairly profound method, so that they are able to put together reports and strategies for optimal utilization of technology. This program gives the ITB students an opportunity to collaborate with both the researchers from ITB and from Cambridge and improve their ability to formulate applied market recommendations.

This 2024 ITB program is scheduled to take place until October 28, 2024. With a direct introduction of inventors and interactions with international experts, students are expected to be able to further understand the market challenge and create a positive impact through the utilization of innovation. These events not only open up the opportunities for students to learn from international research environments, but to build cross-country networks and connect ITB research with the market.
