In order to encourage the downstreaming of research results and strengthen the innovation ecosystem at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), ITB is opening registration for proposals for the 2026 Batch 2 Promoting Research and Innovation through Modern and Efficient Science and Technology Parks (PRIME STeP) Innovation Development Program.
The PRIME STeP program is an innovative research funding program supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), with a focus on strengthening Science and Technology Areas and accelerating the commercialization of research results. In 2026, this program targets the birth of market-ready innovation products with a Technology Readiness Level (TKT) 9, supported by the use of Intellectual Property and strategic collaboration with industrial partners.
The scheme opened upon receipt of batch 2 proposals is the Technology Improvement Scheme. This scheme is aimed at improving technology by referring to increasing the TKT with an initial TKT at Level 6 with a maximum funding value of IDR 500,000,000.00 (Five Hundred Million Rupiah).
