Blung, dkst.itb.ac.id- Director of the ISB Science and Technology Processing Program PRlMESTeP for research categories and incubity startup - first and second year acceleration. This event took place for a full day on July 15, 2025 in the ITB Innovation Park building, the Summarecon Bandung area.
The selection followed by a total of 34 research teams and 24 of these startup teams is carried out by the combined evaluation team of Project Management Unit (PMU) Dedicated and Project Implement Unit (PIU) ITB. The assessment includes aspects of technical feasibility, the hilirization plan, market potential, and the readiness of execution. This process was mandatory before those projects were declared worthy of PRlMESTeP funding.
In research sessions, researchers presented the results and development plans of strategic projects that are mostly at high level of middle-technology readiness. The topics are varied, from underground mining technology, biofiltration for fisheries, natural materials for health products, to drones and energy storage systems.
Each team is given 45 minutes of presentation time, including the interview session with the review. Review came from various institutions such as Gadjah Mada University, the Ten November Technology Institute, Sanata Dharma University, and Hasanuddin University. In the discussion, the reviews highlighted the importance of field validation, the readiness of industrial partners, and the continuity strategy after funding ended.
On the startup line, the selection process is done via pitching and technical discussions. The startup team is given a time between 30-45 minutes to expose products, business models, market potential, and incubation coverage. Presented projects include the sector of digital technology, agriculture, food, energy and community service.
Review emphasizes the aspect of market validation, team structure, and business roadmap complexities as a major indicator for continued funding feats.
This event has become an important stage in ensuring that the PRlMESTeP program is not only funding innovative projects, but it's also a project ready to run and have real chances of sustainability. The entire input and recommendations of the review will be used as the basis of this year's recipient funding.
After this review, the results of the evaluation will be compiled and decided together by PMU and PIU. The projects that have escaped will enter the implementation stage accompanied by the monitoring and incubation team of KST ITB and the Ministry of Culristics.
