BANDUNG, dhkt.itb.ac.id – Through its Directorate of Downstreaming and Technology Commercialization (DHKT), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) continues to strengthen its role as a key enabler in the national innovation ecosystem. The Rector of ITB reaffirmed this commitment at Len Techno Day 2026, an event marking the 35th anniversary of PT Len Industri (Persero), held at ITB Innovation Park Bandung Technopolis on Wednesday (7 October 2026).

The Rector of ITB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T., emphasized the importance of collaborative spaces in overcoming isolated ways of working. ITB Innovation Park is positioned not merely as an event venue, but as a hub that bridges academia, industry, and government.
“ITB Innovation Park is expected to become a melting pot where industrialists and technology entrepreneurs meet to build technological self-reliance in Indonesia. We need to share and connect with one another, because academia, industry, and government must be willing to work together,” said Prof. Tatacipta.
As a tangible demonstration of these efforts to foster collaboration and bring research to market, DHKT ITB also showcased eight of its supported startups at the event. The innovative startups presenting their work to hundreds of ecosystem stakeholders were Batari Energy, NirikSagara, BioBim+, Urbansolv, KilatSoon, Agrivision, GISACT, and Modultrax.

Integrating the startup exhibition into a forum discussing defense technology and strategic industries provided substantial exposure for campus innovators. DHKT ITB seeks to ensure that university technology development extends beyond academic publications and evolves into practical, real-world applications ready for market adoption.

Through direct engagement at Len Techno Day 2026, the eight startups are expected to unlock opportunities for applied research partnerships, strategic funding, and supply chain integration. Going forward, DHKT ITB will continue to optimize ITB Innovation Park Bandung Technopolis as an impact-driven center for value creation that advances national technological progress and economic self-reliance.
